Sam Worthington is set to play the central role of Marcus in the upcoming Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The film is the first in a three film series beginning after Skynet destroys much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. Christian Bale as John Connor leads a group of surviving humans fighting back to prevent their total annihilation. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is due out June 2009.
Australian actor Sam Worthington is best know for his role as Joe in Somersault (2004). He held several recurring television roles including Howard Light on Love My Way (2004-2005) and Dr. Sam Dash on The Surgeon (2005). He is currently filming Avatar (2009) with director James Cameron.
