What happened to Will Arnett? It's true he completed all the voice work for K.I.T.T. in the upcoming Knight Rider (Feb 17, 2008) but he forgot about one little thing. Arnett has been the voice of GMC Trucks for more than a decade -- and KITT is a Ford Mustang. Even that wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't for Ford playing such an active role in promoting the series. Not surprisingly, General Motors asked Arnett to bow out.
No stranger to voice-over work, Val Kilmer will pick up the role and replace Arnett's dialog as the voice of KITT. Kilmer was the voice of Moses in DreamWorks' The Prince of Egypt (1998). Some of his best know films are Real Genius (1986), Top Gun (1986), The Doors (1991), Batman Forever (1995), and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005).
In the original Knight Rider series, KITT's voice was provided by William Daniels.
