Marlon Wayans (Norbit, Little Man, Requiem for a Dream) has been signed to play Ripcord in Paramount's G.I. Joe movie. The film begins shooting next month in Los Angeles and is scheduled for release Aug 7, 2009. Ripcord is trained as a HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) jumper fot the Airborne Infantry and was one of the first replacements to step up as the original Joes were retiring.
