British actress Sienna Miller is the first to enlist for Paramount Pictures' upcoming live-action G.I. Joe. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in mid-February with a release date of August 7, 2009. Stephen Sommers, known for The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), and Van Helsing (2004), will direct. Sienna has recently appeared in Alfie (2004), Factory Girl (2006), and Stardust (2007). She is set to play the film's female lead.
